One hour, start to glow.

No two facials here are exactly alike. Here's how an hour with us unfolds, from the moment you walk in to the moment you catch yourself in the mirror.

  1. The calm Nu Pathway reception in Bowie, with white orchids on the front desk

    Arrive, and exhale.

You'll fill out a short intake form about your skin, your routine and any sensitivities. Then you're settled into a warm, quiet treatment room.

  2. Read first, then treat.

Before anything touches your face, your esthetician takes a close look at your skin: oily, dry, sensitive, congested, mature or a mix. That's what decides your treatment, not a set menu.

Then the real work begins. Depending on your skin and the facial you choose, that might be steam and extractions, dermaplaning, hydrodermabrasion or a peel.

    • Deep cleanse
    • Exfoliation
    • Steam & extractions
    • Serums
    • Massage
  3. Calm, cool, glowing.

Once your skin has done the hard part, it gets to rest, with LED light, a cooling cold hammer and a soothing finishing mist.

Before you go, your esthetician walks you through aftercare for your skin, including sun protection, and whether a one-time refresh or a series makes sense for your goals.

Full-hour facials start at $125, and an express facial is $75. See the facial menu below for prices, with no surprises at checkout.

Softens sebum, the skin's natural oil, before extractions.
Ultrasound

Galvanic iontophoresis
Helps move suitable serums into the surface layers of the skin.
High frequency
Used after extractions, on intact skin.
Radio frequency
Controlled warming, before the mask.
LED mask
A light-based treatment, used per protocol.
Cold hammer
Cooling and soothing, after the active steps.
Finishing mist
A final mist to finish your facial.

Facial questions.

Does every facial include every step?

No. Your esthetician chooses the steps after looking at your skin, so your facial may use some of them and not others.

What happens at my first facial?

You'll fill out an intake form, then your esthetician checks your skin and matches your treatment to it.

Is there downtime?

Most facials have little to no downtime. Extractions, dermaplaning and hydrodermabrasion can leave skin temporarily red or sensitive, and peel downtime depends on the peel. Each facial's time, downtime and aftercare are listed on the facial menu. Your esthetician will go over aftercare for your skin before you leave, and daily SPF is a must after any facial.

Which facial should I book?

If you're not sure, book a Classic / Signature Facial. Your esthetician looks at your skin first and can recommend a targeted facial or a resurfacing treatment like dermaplaning, hydrodermabrasion or a peel for future visits.

Does hydrodermabrasion hurt?

Most people find it comfortable. It's a gentle, non-invasive treatment that cleanses, exfoliates and hydrates your skin.

How many sessions will I need?

Some people enjoy a facial or hydrodermabrasion as a one-time refresh, while others prefer a series. We will recommend a plan based on your skin and goals.

How much does a facial cost?

A Classic Facial is $125, and resurfacing facials range from $140 to $165. See the facial menu above or our full price list.
