Chemical peels are exfoliating solutions that are customized for different skin types and incorporate a variety of active ingredients that work to exfoliate dead skin cells and reveal a new layer of skin. Depending on the depth of the peel, different layers of the skin will be targeted and the peel may be applied differently. Superficial skin peels are applied in layers and left on your skin. They’re not timed and removed like deeper chemical peels. The strength of a superficial peel is controlled by the number of layers applied.
How It Works
A chemical peel involves applying a chemical solution to your face to remove damaged skin cells and stimulate a fresher, younger looking complexion. When the dull, damaged surface layer of your skin is removed, new healthier cells grow in its place.
There are a variety of chemical peels that use different types of acids. Your provider will help you understand the differences and suggest the peel that works best for your skin type and concerns.
What to Expect
On average, a chemical peel can take between 30-90 minutes, depending on the type of peel and number of layers being applied. Depending on the strength of your peel, you may feel a warming sensation throughout the application. You can expect little to no downtime for light peels, while medium and deep peels may require a few weeks to recover. You should avoid the sun and any active skincare ingredients (Retinol, Vitamin C, etc.) until your skin is fully healed.
ABOUT NEUROTOXINS
WHAT IT IS
Neurotoxins are an FDA approved treatment that have been used medically since the 1970s. They are safe, highly effective and require zero downtime. When carefully injected, Botox®, Dysport®, and Xeomin® give skin a smooth and renewed appearance that looks natural.
Botox®, Dysport®, Xeomin®, and other neurotoxins target the underlying causes of wrinkles and frown lines. The neurotoxin blocks the signal from the nerves that make the muscle move. This allows the wrinkles to soften and prevents new wrinkles from forming.
How it works
Treatment is quick & can typically be completed with a handful of tiny injections in less than 30 minutes. Noticeable results can generally be observed 5-7 days after treatment, with full results visible 14 days post treatment.

FAQs
How much treatment will I need?
It depends on several factors including: which area(s) you are trying to treat (11s, forehead, crow’s feet, etc), the strength of your facial muscles, and how deep your existing lines are. We recommend a complimentary consultation with our nurse injector to create a plan that is right for you.
Does it hurt?
Most clients say it feels like a tiny pinch. The needle is quite small, goes in smoothly, and the neurotoxin is injected quickly. All of this results in minimal pain. No numbing agents are used for this treatment.
What’s the downtime?
There’s virtually zero downtime with these treatments. Neurotoxins are often referred to as a “lunchtime procedure,” since most patients return directly to work or normal activity immediately. Some redness and swelling may occur at the injection sites, but it usually subsides within a few hours. Very rarely, patients may experience minor bruising.
How long do results last?
Results last around 3-6 months, depending on the location of the treatment, your muscle activity and your body’s individual response.
Are Botox and Dysport the same?
While Botox®, Dysport®, and Xeomin® are all neurotoxin injectables used to treat and prevent wrinkles, their chemical compositions slightly differ. Your nurse injector will educate you on the differences & allow you to choose which product you’d prefer to use.
Are there any side effects?
Neurotoxin injections are very common, low risk procedures. Headaches, minor bruising, and swelling at the injection site are the most reported side effects, although are quite rare. As with any treatment there are always risks, however, your nurse injector will cover all bases prior to treatment.
